What is Alpha?

Over 20 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world.

Alpha has been a tremendous success here at Lighthouse with an average of 85 people in attendance every Sunday night since the end of July.

We've had lots of laughs and fun together, got to know lots of wonderful new people, and discovered we can ask anything at Alpha and it's O.K. - it's a safe place.

What's invovled?

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do Ipray?" After each talk, we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone, especially:

- Those wanting to investigate Christianity

-New Christians

-Newcomers to the church

-Those who want to brush up on the basics

What will it cost?

Alpha starts at 6PM with a light meal. There is no charge for this meal. There is also no charge for the Alpha course, although you will have to purchase your own Alpha booklet.
